Call for Abstracts 

The Scientific Committee welcomes your abstract submissions for Oral and E-Poster Presentations for the 4th Philippine Solid & Hazardous Waste Management Conference in conjunction with the 1st International Conference on Circular Economy-based Waste Management (PSHWM | CE-WM 2019).

By submitting an abstract you agree to the following: 
 
I confirm that I previewed this abstract and that all information is correct. I accept that the content of this abstract cannot be modified or corrected after final submission and I am aware that it will be made available to participants of the conference and the conference website. 
 
I warrant that I own the rights of all the information and content provided to PSHWM | CE-WM 2019 and its Organizers. 
 
I grant the Organizers to distribute or email copies of full paper/poster to all participants of the Conferences who will request for it.

Awards

 

Awards, both for student and professional categories, will be given competitively based on the quality of abstract submission and presentation. These awards will include:

 

  • Young Investigator Awards (40 years old and younger)
  • Outstanding Oral Presentations
  • Outstanding E-Poster Presentations

 

 

Who can submit an abstract?

 

Anyone is eligible to submit an abstract on a related topic. We highly encourage students, both undergraduate and graduate. We encourage that you work with your faculty adviser or mentor before submitting your abstract.

 

There is no limit as to how many abstracts you want to submit. And, you can present both oral and e-poster presentations. However, you cannot submit the same abstract for oral presentation and e-poster.

 

 

Guidelines and Requirements

 

  • Presenting authors and co-authors are responsible for registration, travel, and hotel costs.

  • Only abstracts of authors who have paid their registration fees by October 31, 2019 will be scheduled for presentation.

  • All abstracts must be submitted and presented in English.

  • Abstracts will be compiled and made available to participants.

  • Any presenter who is unable to attend should arrange for another qualified individual to present the paper/poster in question. If such a change is necessary, please notify the Secretariat.

  • Instructions for preparation of oral or E-poster presentations will be sent together with acceptance notifications.

  • The Scientific Committee will endeavor to schedule abstracts according to authors’ preferences but reserves the right to decide on the final form of presentation.

  • You will receive confirmation that your abstract has been received, indicating the abstract number which it has been assigned. Please contact the Secretariat if you have not received confirmation that the abstract has been received.

 

 

Submission Options

 

Oral Presentations provide authors the opportunity to present original work. Oral papers will have 25-minute time slots and will be clustered by theme. Each cluster will include three individual presentations and 15 minutes for questions from the audience.

 

E-Poster Presentations will be available throughout the duration of the Conference at a designated E-Posters Area.
